Cushman Foundation - Phil Fest 2025

Ends on

The Grant Opportunity:

Phil Fest 2025 seeks to support projects focusing on Food Insecurity & Nutrition, Homelessness, and Social Services for San Diego's Military & Veterans communities. Grant requests should range between $50,000 to $100,000, and each stage of the application process should demonstrate how the project and its impact is commensurate with the request.

Projects should be completed within a 12-month period and may be new or existing. General operating requests will not be considered.

The Process:

Phil Fest 2025 will have three stages:

1) Letter of Intent (open call for proposals)
2) Full Application
3) Live Pitch to the Cushman Foundation on June 24, 2025

Following stage 1, organizations will be invited by JCF to progress to stages 2 and 3. A total of 15 finalists will be invited to pitch their projects live, in 10-minute presentations. Five grants will be awarded.

Organizations invited to stage 3, the Live Pitch, will also receive a one-time $5,000 stipend to produce their Pitches. This generous stipend has dual purpose: it will ensure the finalists have a high-quality Pitch to give to the Cushman Foundation and equips them with a custom fundraising and advocacy tool for the future.
